Ik weet het, de naam van deze top insinueert herfst. Toch is dit patroon er eentje die alle seizoenen aankan. Het patroon biedt immers drie mouwlengtes: kort, drie vierde en lang. Daarnaast zijn er ook twee stijlen: eentje waarbij de borstnaad net boven de borst loopt, en eentje waarbij die net onder de borst loopt.
I know, the name of this top insinuates autumn. Yet this pattern is one that can handle all seasons. The pattern offers three sleeve lengths: short, three fourth and long. There are also two styles: one where the chest seam runs just above the chest, and one where it runs just below the chest.
Ik koos voor de versie waarbij de naad net boven de borst loopt, en gebruikte een overschotje van de stof waarmee ik onlangs de True Romance van Pattern Emporium maakte. Dat combineerde ik met twee unistofjes. Door mijn stofkeuze oogt deze Autumn Spice Top inderdaad herfstig, maar op mijn inspiratiebord zijn er ook heel wat voorbeelden te vinden van gelijkaardige tops in lichtere kleuren, die perfect zijn voor lente en zomer! Dit zijn enkele van de foto’s die ik onlangs bewaarde. (Geen foto’s die ik zelf nam dus!)
I chose the version where the seam runs just above the chest, and used an excess of the fabric with which I recently made the True Romance from Pattern Emporium. I combined that with two uni fabrics. Because of my choice of fabric, this Autumn Spice Top indeed looks autumnal, but on my inspiration board there are also many examples of similar tops in lighter colors that are perfect for spring and summer! These are some of the photos that I recently saved. (No photos I took myself!)
Een leuk naaiprojectje dat eenvoudig is (enkel de patroondelen juist aan elkaar puzzelen, maar het stelt niets voor!) en snel klaar is.
Ik ben er alvast blij mee!
