Sofilantjes, al sedert mijn beginjaren als naaister één van mijn favorieten! Het Nivalis-jurkje was het eerste kleedje in tricot dat ik ooit naaide, en werd eerst door de oudste en nadien door de jongste gedragen tot het echt te klein was geworden…
Nadien volgden ook de Solis en Litore toen ze werden gereleased, en ook deze kleedjes waren telkens weer een schot in de roos, niet enkel om de mooie rugdetails, maar ook omwille van de cirkelrokken… Uren draaiplezier 🙂
Ik zag al vaker oproepen om deel te nemen aan testen voor nieuwe patronen van Sofilantjes, en tekende ook telkens in, maar tevergeefs… Toch waagde ik opnieuw mijn kans toen ik de oproep zag voor het testen van de Litore voor dames, en deze keer mocht ik wel deel uit maken van de testgroep!

I have often seen calls to participate in tests for new patterns of Sofilantjes, and I also repeatedly signed in, but in vain … Yet I again took my chance when I saw the call for testing the Litore for women, and this time I was allowed to be part of the test group!
Hieronder vind je drie versies met de nodige uitleg erbij, zodat je zicht hebt op wat je krijgt als je dit patroon aanschaft, maar ook een klein beetje op het testproces dat erachter schuilging. Een klein beetje, want ik maakte enkel deel uit van de laatste fase van de testing.
Below you will find three versions with the necessary explanation, so that you have insight into what you will get when you purchase this pattern, but also a little bit about the testing process behind it. A little bit, because I was only part of the final phase of the testing.
Ik kreeg de tuniek en maxi-versie met hoge taille (‘empire waist’) toegewezen.
I was assigned to test the empire waist, tunic and maxi-length.
Versie 1: de Litore tuniek
Version 1: the Litore tunic
Aangezien de maxi-versie best wel wat stof vraagt, startte ik met de tuniek-versie. In eerste instantie kregen we enkel de patroondelen van het bovenlijfje, en pas als iedereen het erover eens was dat dit goed zat, kregen we ook de patroondelen voor het rokdeel.
Er werd dus grondig nagegaan of het niet te strak of te los zat, mooi aansloot op de rug, de bandjes op de rug goed zijn van lengte, de armopening zodanig dat je BH niet zichtbaar is aan de zijkant, maar ook zodat de stof niet te hoog zit en gaat snijden in je oksel…
Daarnaast ging er ook veel aandacht naar het verschil tussen de hoge taille en de natuurlijke taille. Bij de hoge taille valt de taillenaad ongeveer drie vingers onder de borst.
Bij het rokdeel werd eveneens nagegaan of de lengte overeenkwam met de aangegeven verwachtingen. De tunieklengte moest bijvoorbeeld langer zijn dan een gewoon t-shirt, maar te kort om te kunnen dragen zonder een broek of legging eronder.
Since the maxi version requires quite some fabric, I started with the tunic version. At first we only got the pattern parts for the bodice, and only when everyone agreed that the fit was right, did we also get the pattern parts for the skirt part.
It was therefore thoroughly checked whether it was not too tight or too loose, fitted nicely on the back, the straps on the back are good in length, the arm opening such that your bra is not visible on the side, but also so that the fabric is not too high up and would cut into your armpit …
In addition, much attention was paid to the difference between the empire waist and the natural waist. At the empire waist, the waistline falls about three fingers under the chest.
For the skirt section it was also checked whether the length corresponded to the stated expectations. The tunic length, for example, had to be longer than a normal t-shirt, but too short to wear without trousers or leggings.
Voor mijn testversie van de tuniek, koos ik voor een stofje dat ik destijds aankocht op de webshop van Driessen. Bij deze versie zat het lijfje een tikkeltje te strak, omdat mijn stof eigenlijk slechts 30% rek had, terwijl dat beter iets meer had geweest. Het zat ook nog wat te hoog onder mijn arm. Dit werd dus nog bijgestuurd. Het rokdeel was hier ook nog iets te breed, en werd nadien dus wat minder breed gemaakt. Dat had vooral te maken met de stofbenodigdheden voor de maxi-jurk, waarover straks meer.
For my test version of the tunic, I chose a fabric that I bought at the time from the Driessen webshop. With this version the body was a bit too tight, because my fabric actually only had 30% elongation, while that should have been a bit more. It was also a bit too high under my arm. This was therefore adjusted. The skirt part was also a bit too wide here, and was therefore made less wide afterwards. This was mainly due to the fabric requirements for the maxi dress, about which more later.
Version 2: the Maxi dress
Voor de maxi-versie koos ik een stofje dat ik een tijdje terug kocht bij de webshop van ‘Made by Luka’. Deze webshop houdt ook nu en dan even halt met een pop-up bij me in de buurt, waar ik dus mijn oog liet vallen op een paars-roze lichte tricot, die prachtig drapeerd en doorhangt. Er zit ook wat zilveren glitter-accenten in, zodat het er allemaal heel feestelijk uitziet! Maar hoe ik mijn stof ook legde, ik kreeg de rok er niet uit. Niet enkel qua lengte kwam ik een tikkeltje te kort, vooral qua breedte leek er iets niet te kloppen… Ik probeerde heel wat andere stoffen uit, maar nooit slaagde ik erin om de breedte van het rokdeel eruit te halen. En ik bleek niet de enige. Anne Jacobs paste dit echter vliegensvlug aan, en maakte het rokdeel, vooral ook naar onder toe, een pak minder breed, zodat het mooi uit de stof gehaald kan worden.
Ik had echter geen geduld en kwam met een creatieve oplossing 🙂
Ik knipte onderaan een band van 20 cm uit de contrasterende stof waarin ik ook het lijfje maakte, en kon op die manier mijn maxi-jurk alvast in elkaar zetten.
In eerste instantie was die een tikkeltje te lang. Zelfs met schoenen met een hakje aan, kwam deze net tot op de grond, en raakte ik er bij het stappen soms wat in verstrikt.
For the maxi version I chose a fabric that I bought a while back at the ‘Made by Luka’ webshop. This webshop also stops occasionally with a pop-up in my area, where I dropped my eye on a purple-pink light jersey, which drapes and hangs beautifully. It also has some silver glitter accents, so it all looks very festive! But no matter how I laid my fabric, I couldn’t get the skirt out. Not only in terms of length was I a little too short, but in terms of width something seemed to be wrong … I tried out a lot of other fabrics, but I never managed to get the width of the skirt part out. And I turned out not to be the only one. Anne Jacobs, however, quickly adjusted this, and made the skirt part, especially downwards, less wide, so that it can be cut nicely from the fabric.
However, I had no patience and came up with a creative solution 🙂
At the bottom I cut a band of 20 cm from the contrasting fabric in which I also made the bodice, and in this way I could already assemble my maxi dress.
At first it was a bit too long. Even with shoes with a heel on, it just fell to the floor, and I sometimes got caught up in it when walking.
Hij zit geweldig!
So I shortened the dress a little by turning the hem (2.5 cm) one more time. Now it comes up from the ground nicely if I don’t have shoes on, so I don’t get caught up while walking 🙂
It’s so pleasant to wear!
Version 3: the knee-length dress
Ik had ook nog twee leuke Megan Blue-tricots liggen, die ik dolgraag wilde verwerken voor een Litore. Initieel was het de bedoeling dat dit een maxi-jurk zou worden…
Ik knipte de stof en naaide alles aan elkaar, maar het was een heel gepuzzel. Mijn persoonlijke voorkeur gaat ernaar uit dat de licht-gekleurde stof of de kleinere prints bovenaan zitten, en donkere kleuren of grovere prints in het rokdeel. Maar dat lukte me niet met de beperkte voorraad die ik had. Dus zat het lichtere deel met de kleine print onderaan… Hoewel dit in mijn hoofd er ok uitzag vooraf, vond ik de stofcombinatie op die manier toch niet geslaagd eens ik het aanhad… Ik knipte het onderste deel er dus af, en hield zo een ‘gewoon’ kleedje over, qua lengte. Ik heb de zoom opnieuw omgevouwen, zodat het eigenlijk iets korter (2,5 cm) uitkomt dan de jurk door Anne is bedoeld. Had ik dit niet gedaan, dan kwam hij net boven de knie.
Ik ben er alvast wel blij mee! En het deel dat ik wegknipte? Die wordt binnenkort verwerkt in een Litore voor één van mijn meisjes 🙂

I cut the fabric and sewed everything together, but it was quite a puzzle. My personal preference is that the light-colored fabric or the smaller prints are at the top, and darker colors or coarser prints in the skirt part. But I did not succeed with the limited supply that I had. So the lighter part with the small print was at the bottom … Although this looked ok in my head beforehand, I thought the fabric combination was not successful once I wore it … So I cut the lower part off, and kept a ‘normal’ dress, in terms of length. I have folded the hem over again, so that it actually comes out a little shorter (2.5 cm) than Anne intended the dress. If I had not done this, it would be just above the knee.
I’m happy with it! And the part that I chopped off? It will soon be processed in a Litore for one of my girls 🙂
Ziezo, dat zijn mijn naaisels die ik gedurende deze test maakte, maar zeker en vast volgen er nog Litore-kleedjes in de toekomst! Er zijn immers nog heel wat opties die ik graag wil uitproberen!
Tijdens het testen maakte ik telkens de versie met hoge taille, in maatje 40. Hierboven zie je de drie mogelijke lengtes voor het rokdeel. Maar er is ook een optie om vanuit je natuurlijke taille te vertrekken. Daarbij krijg je naast de mogelijkheid om, met aangepaste rokdelen voor deze versie, naast de tuniek, knie-lengte of maxi-lengte ook de mogelijkheid om met een hoog-laag-rok te gaan werken. Neem zeker even een kijkje naar deze versies ook, want ook deze zijn echt knap!
Uiteraard is het rugdetail met de bandjes dé eye-catcher van dit patroon. Maar doordat hij vanuit je hoge taille of natuurlijke taille vertrekt en naar onderen toe open waaiert, verdoezelt dit kleedje meteen ook bredere heupen, terwijl hij je taille gaat accentueren. Mooi toch?!
Hoe dan ook, ik ben fan!
En extra leuk is natuurlijk dat je ook de meisjesversie kan aanschaffen, zodat je heel toffe mommy-and-me-setjes kan gaan maken!

During testing, I always made the empire-waisted version in size 40. Above you see the three possible lengths for the skirt part. But there is also an option to start from your natural waist. In addition to the adjusted skirt sections for this version, in tunic, knee length or maxi length, you will also have the option of working with a high-low skirt.
Be sure to take a look at these versions too, because these too are really handsome!
The back detail with the straps is of course the eye-catcher of this pattern. But because it starts from your high waist or natural waist and fans open towards the bottom, this dress also immediately conceals wider hips, while accentuating your waist. Nice isn’t it?!
Anyway, I am a fan!
