Summer pinspiration

Dit blijf ik zó leuk vinden: pinspiration. Niets leukers dan door webshops heen scrollen en screenshots nemen van kledingstukken die je mooi vindt en denken: “Hé, deze kan ik zelf maken!”
Ik kijk er dan ook telkens opnieuw naar uit, naar de ‘pinspiration-tour’ van Ellie&Mac!
De zomerversie is nu bezig, en ik deed een poging om deze top na te maken:

Nothing more fun than scrolling through web shops, taking screenshots of things you like and meanwhile thinking: “I can make this myself!” I look forward to the calls for Pinspirationtours by Ellie&Mac every time, because they have so many patterns and hacking them occasionally isn’t that hard either! The Summer Pinspiration Tour is now open, and I attempted to copy this top:

Ik dacht hiervoor aan het patroon van de 24/7-top, die ik daarvoor wel een beetje moest ‘hacken’.

I had the 24/7-top with a little hack in mind to recreate it.

Zo ging ik te werk:

This is what I did:

Ik nam het bovendeel van het achterpand, en legde de middenachter van dat patroondeel gelijk met middenvoor van het patroondeel van het voorpand. Ik zorgde dat de aangeknipte mouwen van voor- en achterpand boven elkaar lagen en tekende dan een lijn op het voorpand, om ervoor te zorgen dat voorpand en achterpand mooi in elkaar zouden overlopen bij de zijnaad onder de oksel.

I used the top piece of the back and aligned the middle back fold line with the middle front fold line on the front pattern piece. I made sure the dolman sleeves were aligned too and drew a line on the front panel to create a seam across the chest that aligns with the seam of the back panel. The pictures underneath show you exactly what I did.

Vervolgens knipte ik het voorpand, waarbij ik bij de borstnaad ongeveer 1 cm breder knipte, zodat ik middenvoor een beetje kon fronsen.

Now I started cutting into my fabrics. For the front panel I wanted to create some gathers in the middle. When cutting the bottom part of the front panel, I flared out a little underneath the chest seam to make this possible.

Dan restte me gewoon nog alles aan mekaar te stikken. Et voila!
Na mijn eerste pasbeurt kortte ik het bovendeel van het voorpand nog een tikkeltje in, omdat anders de rand van mijn BH zichtbaar was…

Now all I had to do was sewing it all together. Et voila! After my first fit, I did shorten the top of the front panel a little, to make sure my bra wasn’t showing through the lace…

Maar dus een heel eenvoudig naaisel, en een geslaagde pinspiration wat mij betreft!
