Bella Sunshine Designs is terug van weg geweest! Ik testte mee voor deze top/jurk met dolmanmouwen (aangeknipte mouwen).

Bella Sunshine Designs is back! I tested for this top / dress with dolman sleeves (no set-in sleeves).

Een heerlijk eenvoudig patroon, dat toch net weer een tikkie anders is! Wat dit patroontje bijzonder maakt? De ruche door middel van linten aan de mouwen, waardoor je een gerimpelde schouderlijn krijgt, met linten die je kan loslaten of strikken, zoals je wenst. De pasvorm is ook prettig, vind ik. Van nauwer bovenaan, naar uitlopend in het rokdeel.

A wonderfully simple pattern that is just that little bit different! What makes this pattern special? The ruffle by means of ribbons on the sleeves, giving you a gathered shoulder line, with ribbons that you can let loose or tie as you wish. The fit is also nice, I think. From narrower at the top, to a wider skirt, perfect for playing!

Ik maakte er twee. Laure wilde liefst een tuniek met korte mouwen, en koos voor de stof ‘Balloon Dream’ (het daarop volgende weekend ging de Meetjeslandse ballonmeeting door, en dan stijgen er in het beste geval 100 ballonnen op op zo’n 200 m van ons huis (!) Bij goed weer dus best spectaculair 🙂 ) die ik kocht via de webshop van naaiplezier.nl . Daar is deze Megan Blue Fabrics stof echter intussen niet meer verkrijgbaar. Wel nog hier te vinden.

I made two. Laure asked for a tunic with short sleeves, and chose the fabric ‘Balloon Dream’ (the following weekend the Meetjeslandse balloon meeting took place, and then at best 100 balloons would rise at about 200 m from our house ( !) When the weather is good, it’s quite spectacular :)) which I bought through the webshop of naaiplezier.nl. However, this Megan Blue Fabrics fabric is no longer available there. Still to be found here.

Hanne koos dan weer een andere stof met ballonnen erop van Little Darlings , en wilde graag een kleedje met korte mouwen. De stof is niet meer te vinden…

Doordat het weer tegenviel, leek het er even op dat er geen enkele ballon zou opstijgen dat weekend, maar op zondagavond hadden we dan toch geluk! Een twintigtal ballonnen, waaronder enkele ‘special shapes’, gingen dan toch nog de lucht in! Enter photoshoot 🙂

Het naaien van dit kleedje is eigenlijk vrij eenvoudig. Je naait de schoudernaad met de naaimachine en gebruikt de naadwaarde om tunnels te maken, waar je de linten doorheen steekt. Het moeilijkste aan dit kleedje is het maken van de linten, aangezien dat steeds wat ‘prutswerk’ is. Maar dit kan je vrij eenvoudig omzeilen door te werken met touw, biais, lint, …

Sewing this dress is actually fairly easy. You sew the shoulder seam with the sewing machine (not an overlock!) and use the seamallowance to make tunnels, through which you put the ribbons. The most difficult thing about this pattern is making the ribbons, since that is always a bit of ‘fiddling’. But you can easily get around this by working with rope, bias, ribbon, …

Wat mijn dochters en mezelf betreft opnieuw een heel leuk patroon van Bella Sunshine Designs, dat zeker de moeite waard is om uit te proberen!

As far as my daughters and myself are concerned, again a very nice pattern of Bella Sunshine Designs, which is definitely worth a try!
