Holiday Wear Promo – EAM

Intussen weten jullie al dat ik een fan ben van de patronen van Ellie&Mac. Het zal jullie dan ook niet verbazen dat ik deelnam aan de Holiday Wear Promo die er deze week loopt (nog tot en met 14/12). Gewoon om te laten zien dat je met EAM-patronen ook de feestelijke toer op kan!

In the meantime you already know that I am a fan of the patterns of Ellie & Mac. It will therefore not surprise you that I participated in the Holiday Wear Promo that runs there this week. Just to show that you can also go on a festive tour with EAM patterns!

Ik liet jullie vorige week al de Playdate Dress zien, maar vandaag stel ik graag ook de Peachy Pie Dress aan jullie voor. Opnieuw een eenvoudig modelletje, dat je omtovert tot een feestjurk met een feestelijk stofje!

I already showed you the Playdate Dress last week, but today I would also like to introduce the Peachy Pie Dress to you. Again a simple model that you turn into a party dress with a festive fabric!

Het leuke aan dit jurkje zit hem in de details en afwerking. Op de rug zit een lusje (bedankt Marieke De Jonge ;), wat het net weer een andere look geeft. Daarnaast zijn zowel het voorpand als het achterpand bovenin afgewerkt met een gefronste, opgestikte boord, die over de schouders heen loopt.

The nice thing about this dress is in the details and finish. There is a keyhole on the back, which gives it a different look. In addition, both the front and the back at the top are finished with a ruffle that runs over the shoulders.
Bij gebrek aan stof koos ik voor korte mouwen, hoewel ik eigenlijk liever de lange mouwen wilde… Ach ja, met een leuk jasje of gilet eroverheen is ook dat weer opgelost… 🙂
Moeilijk is het patroon niet. Het enige wat je misschien even moet bekijken is de ‘boordbandmethode’ (in het Engels de ‘binding method’). De neklijn en het lusje in het achterpand worden met deze methode afgewerkt. Als je al eens met biais hebt gewerkt: het werkt precies zo! Laat je er zeker niet door afschrikken!

Due to lack of fabric, I chose short sleeves, although I actually rather wanted the long sleeves … Oh well, with a nice jacket or cardigan that issue can soon be solved … 🙂
The pattern is not difficult. The only thing you may have to look at is the ‘binding method’. The neckline and the keyhole in the back are finished with this method. If you have worked with biais before: it works exactly like this! Certainly don’t be put off by it!

De stofjes zijn van het merk ‘By Poppy’. De bloemenstof noemt ‘Flowery Fresh Sage’, de stipjes ‘Dots Fresh Sage’. Ik kocht ze in de webshop van Naaiplezier.nl, maar daar zijn ze intussen niet meer beschikbaar.

The fabrics are from the ‘By Poppy’ brand. The floral fabric is called ‘Flowery Fresh Sage’, the dots ‘Dots Fresh Sage’. I bought them in the webshop of Naaiplezier.nl, but they are no longer available there.
