#wackywednesday – Mijn 11jes & ik

Wat lagen deze patronen al lang te wachten om uitgeprobeerd te worden!
Ik kocht beide patronen zodra ze uitkwamen, en dat is intussen toch al weer even geleden… Maar nu is het dus eindelijk zo ver, ik naaide vandaag zowel de Day to night Top als de Be Smart Jumper. Beide patronen zijn ultra-eenvoudig te maken!
Echt waar, ik knipte de stoffen gisteren, en naaide vandaag binnen het uur beide kledingstukken!

I can’t tell you how long these patterns were waiting to be tested!
I bought both patterns as soon as they came out, and that has been a while ago … But now it has finally happened, I sewed both the Day to night Top and the Be Smart Jumper today. Both patterns are ultra-easy to make!
Really, I cut the fabrics yesterday, and sewed both items of clothing within the hour today!

Voor de Day-to-Night-Top koos ik voor de versie zonder uitlopende mouwen en met een gewone neklijn. Ik twijfel steeds een beetje om de iets diepere neklijn te maken, maar bij dit patroon ga ik het zeker en vast wel eens proberen! Ik koos dus de top in zijn eenvoudigste vorm, en gebruikte een stofje dat ik kocht via de website van Dresowka.pl.
Ik maakte de S, maar liet deze wel overgaan in een M ter hoogte van de heupen.

For the Day-to-Night-Top I opted for the version without flared sleeves and with a normal neckline. I always doubt to make the slightly deeper neckline, but with this pattern I will definitely try it in the future! For now, I chose the top in its simplest form, and used a fabric that I bought through the Dresowka.pl website.
I made the S, but it flares out to an M at the hips.

Be Smart Women Jumper Sewing Pattern Line Drawing For Ellie and Mac Sewing Patterns

Bij de Be Smart Jumper koos ik voor de versie met minder hoge tailleband. Ik ging voor de versie die je in de taille draagt, maar je kan ook kiezen om hem op heuphoogte te maken en dragen. Dan zijn de bretellen langer, en het rokdeel iets korter. Ik vind het echter fijn dat de taille zo extra geaccentueerd is, een look die mij beter staat. Ik maakte hier de S versie (tailleband), maar liet de rok opnieuw overgaan in een M. Eigenlijk hoeft dat niet echt, want deze cirkelrok volgt mooi de lijnen van je lichaam.
De stof is een cobalt blauwe punta di roma van bij Driessen.

With the Be Smart Jumper I opted for the version that you wear at the waist, but you can also choose to make and wear it at hip height. Then the suspenders are longer, and the skirt part a little shorter. However, I like that the waist is accentuated, a look that suits me better. I made the S version here (waistband), but graded the skirt into an M. Actually, that’s not really necessary, because this circle skirt nicely follows the lines of your body. The fabric is acobalt blue punta di roma from Driessen.

Ik vind de combinatie in ieder geval heel geslaagd! En deze rok heeft ook een heerlijke draaifactor!

I think the combination is very successful! And this skirt also has a wonderful twirl factor!

Ik maakte de Miami Wrap Top van Ellie&Mac, die op woensdag 26 november deel uitmaakt van de Wacky Wednesday promotie. Enkel die dag kan je het patroon, samen met nog vijf andere patronen, waaronder de High Hopes Dolman, aanschaffen voor slechts $1 (ofte minder dan €1!) per patroon.

Dit is een topje dat helemaal opent vooraan. Je sluit het door middel van drukknoopjes aan de binnenkant, en een striklint aan de buitenkant. Dit topje heeft een mooie diep uitgesneden halslijn. Het tailleert zeer mooi, en tegelijkertijd verstopt het je heupen: de perfecte combinatie voor mij!

This is a top that opens completely at the front. You close it with press studs or snaps on the inside, and a ribbon on the outside. This top has a nice deep cut neckline. It accentuates the waist nicely and at the same time it hides your hips: the perfect combination for me!

Ik maakte de peplum-versie (er is ook een crop top versie) met lange mouwen die wijd uitlopen. Ik verlengde het peplumpatroondeel een vijftal centimeter, zodat het eerder valt als een tuniek. Ik hou wel van dat beetje extra ‘coverage’… 🙂

I made the peplum version (there is a crop top version too) with long sleeves that flare. I extended the peplum pattern part by 2 inches, so that it falls rather like a tunic. I do like that bit of extra coverage … 🙂

Het lijfje is volledig gevoerd, en dus ook in de winter nog best draagbaar. Ideaal voor de komende feestdagen! Met het juiste stofje maak je er volgens mij een feestelijke top van!

The bodice is fully lined, and therefore also quite wearable in the winter. Perfect for the upcoming holidays, this could defenitely be a festive top!
