Hoog tijd om eens een uitdaging aan te gaan! Ik stel het al héél lang uit: een broek naaien voor mezelf. Dat heeft veel te maken met mijn maten. Want vooraleer je kan gaan naaien, moet je natuurlijk een patroon hebben dat je past. Wanneer ik de matentabel van zo’n patroon bekijk, dan valt meteen op dat er een heel groot verschil zit tussen mijn taille (S) en mijn heupen en billen (L/XL). Dus dat betekent dat geen enkel patroon voor mij kant en klaar is… Ik ben het intussen wel gewend om patronen van topjes en kleedjes aan te passen, maar een broek…

Time to take on a challenge! I’ve been putting it off for a long time: sewing pants for myself. That has a lot to do with my sizes. Because before you can start sewing, you must of course have a pattern that suits you. When I look at the size table of such a pattern, I immediately notice that there is a very big difference between my waist (S) and my hips and buttocks (L / XL). So that means that no pattern is ready for me … I am used to changing patterns of tops and dresses, but pants …

Zoals je intussen kan raden, heb ik het er toch op gewaagd. Voor de ‘Nothing-but-bottoms-promo’ van Ellie&Mac ging ik uit mijn comfortzone. Ik ging met twee patronen aan de slag, en wilde één en ander uitproberen. Het voordeel van werken met tricot: geen ritsen en knopen. Met andere woorden: eens het naaiwerk van start gaat, is het een eitje…
Ik koos voor mijn ‘bottoms’ het patroon van de Not-So-Basic-Pants. In dit patroon zitten twee varianten: een ‘legging-style’ broek, en een broek met wijde pijpen. Ik maakte in eerste instantie beide versies, uit nieuwsgierigheid wat best bij mij zou passen. Hoewel ik er vrij zeker van was dat vooral de broek met wijde pijpen mijn genre zou zijn. Een nauwaansluitend model heeft immers de neiging om net dat te gaan accentueren wat ik angstvallig probeer te verbergen. Toch moet ik toegeven dat ik over beide varianten tevreden ben, ik ben blij dat ik ze beide heb geprobeerd. Zoals ik verwachtte, voel ik me wel het meest comfortabel bij de broek met wijde pijpen.

As you can guess in the meantime, I dared to do it. For Ellie & Mac’s ‘Nothing-but-bottoms promo’, I left my comfort zone. I started working with two patterns, and wanted to try something out. The advantage of working with jersey: no zippers and buttons. In other words, once sewing starts, it’s a breeze …
For my bottoms I chose the pattern of the Not-So-Basic-Pants. There are two variants in this pattern: legging-style pants and wide-leg pants. Initially I made both versions, out of curiosity what would suit me best. Although I was pretty sure that especially the wide leg pants would be my genre. After all, a tight-fitting model tends to accentuate just that which I anxiously try to hide. Still, I have to admit I’m satisfied with both variants, I’m glad I tried them both. As I expected, I feel most comfortable with the wide leg pants.

Het naaien van die broeken ging verbazend vlot en snel! Op minder dan een kwartier was zo’n broek af, gezoomd en alles! Dat zorgde ervoor dat ik in totaal op twee dagen tijd, tussen lesgeven aan mijn kinderen, huishouden en eigen werk door, maar liefst vier broeken naaide!
Ik moet toegeven dat ik wel heel wat tijd heb besteed vooraf aan het patroon, waar ik moest gaan ‘blenden’. Maar blijkbaar is dat goed gelukt, want mijn probeerversie was meteen een draagbaar stuk!

Sewing those pants went amazingly smoothly and quickly! In less than fifteen minutes, my trousers were finished, hemmed and everything! That made me sew a total of four trousers in two days, between teaching my children, housekeeping and work!
I have to admit that I spent a lot of time in advance on the pattern, where I had to ‘blend’. But apparently that worked out well, because my trial version was immediately a wearable piece!

In mijn winkelkarretje stak ik onlangs het pas uitgekomen Summer Nights patroon. Deze combineert een broek (met steekzakken) met een top. Ik zag al heel wat leuke versies de revue passeren, en had van de stof waarvan ik mijn broeken maakte steeds nog een flinke lap over… Dus maakte ik naast vier broeken ook nog eens drie topjes. Ook deze zitten erg snel in elkaar. Het is een raglan-model waarbij je in de neklijn een tunnel naait en elastiek doorvoert. Een heupband er aan, en klaar!
Bij de top heb je keuze uit korte mouwen of lange wijde mouwen met een mouwboord (bishop-sleeves).
Nu ik over mijn angst voor broeken heen ben (althans voor stretch-stoffen), zal ik zeker ook de broek met steekzakken eens gaan maken! Ik heb de smaak te pakken 🙂

In my shopping cart I recently put the newly released Summer Nights pattern. This combines pants (with side pockets) with a top. I already saw a lot of nice versions passing by, and I still had a large piece of the fabric that I made my trousers from … So I made three tops in addition to four trousers. These are also very quickly put together. It is a raglan model in which you sew a tunnel in the neckline and put on elastic. A waistband attached, and ready!
For the top you have a choice between short sleeves or long wide sleeves with a cuff (bishop sleeves).
Now that I have overcome my fear of trousers (at least for stretch fabrics), I will certainly also make the pants with side pockets! I have a taste for it 🙂

Arcus, Nivalis en Hazel

Sofilantjes patronen blijven één van mijn favoriete patronen, al zeker omdat ze lokaal zijn. Ik beschik over bijna alle patronen, maar kwam er vaak niet aan toe ze ook te naaien. En toen begon de Corona-epidemie… Dat gaf me iets meer tijd om te naaien, en vooral ook om even te naaien waar ik zin in had, in plaats van de ene test na de andere af te werken. Dus greep ik naar Sofilantjes om de overschotjes van mijn stof van Znok te verwerken die ik voor de Solis voor mezelf heb gebruikt. Die stof is zo kleurrijk en helder, perfect voor een vrolijke noot in deze gekke periode. Soms blijven lapjes die ik overheb lang liggen, maar deze moest en zou ik echt helemaal tot de laatste snipper op gebruiken…

Sofilantjes patterns remains one of my favorite patterns compagnies, especially because they are local. I have almost all the patterns, but I never got around to sewing them. And then the Corona epidemic started … That gave me a little more time to sew, and especially to sew what I felt like, instead of finishing one test after another. So I grabbed my Sofilantjes patterns to process the leftovers of my Znok fabric that I used for the Solis for myself. That fabric is so colorful and bright, perfect for a happy note in this crazy period. Sometimes patches that I have left are left for a long time, but I really had to use them up to the last bit …

Laure wordt zo stilaan een tiener, en is verzot op blote buiken (zie helemaal onderin deze post). Ik verkorte de Nivalis tot een korte t-shirt. Lang genoeg voor mij om het ok te vinden, en kort genoeg voor haar om te voldoen aan het ‘blote-buik-criterium’.
Die combineerde ik met de Arcus rok. Een patroon dat nog niet heel lang geleden uitkwam en ik toen meteen aankocht, maar nu dus ook eindelijk kon gaan maken. Perfect voor het opgebruiken van die laatste restjes! Dit is maatje 128. De rok verlengde ik naar maat 134.

Laure is gradually becoming a teenager, and is fond of bare bellies (see below at the bottom of this post). I shortened the Nivalis to a short t-shirt. Long enough for me to be okay, and short enough for her to meet the ‘bare belly’ criterion.
I combined it with the Arcus skirt. A pattern that came out not that long ago and I immediately bought it, but now I could finally make it. Perfect for consuming those last bits of fabric! This is size 128. I extended the skirt to size 134.

Dat is ook wat ik zo leuk vind aan de Sofilantjes-patronen: het feit dat je er heel eenvoudig mee kan colour-blocken, mix & match. De pasvorm is steeds perfect én de patronen zijn telkens weer uniek. Ik hou wel van de vele gebogen, eerder organische vormen waarmee de ontwerpster werkt.

That is also what I love about Sofilantjes patterns: the fact that you can easily color block, mix & match with it. The fit is always perfect and the patterns are unique every time. I like the many curved, rather organic shapes with which the designer works.

Gelukkig is er ook nog Hanne, met haar 7 jaar nog dol op kleedjes 🙂
Voor haar kon ik, met wat puzzelwerk, nog net een Hazelkleedje van Bel’Etoile stikken.
Omdat mijn lapjes net te kort waren om het volledige lijfje er uit te halen, koos ik voor de versie met ruche. Ik ben momenteel nogal fan van laagjes-rokken, dus koos ik opnieuw voor de rok met twee lagen. Net als vorige versie (waarvan ik blijkbaar nog geen blogpost maakte!) naaide ik maat 6 jaar verlengd tot 7 jaar.

For her, with some puzzling, I had just enough fabric left to stitch a Hazel dress from Bel’Etoile.
Because my patches were just too short to take out the full body, I opted for the ruffled version. I’m currently quite a fan of layered skirts, so again I opted for the two-layer skirt. Like previous version (of which I now notice I haven’t made a post here yet!) I sewed size 6 years lengthened to 7 years.

Deze waren ook nog eens net op tijd klaar voor Pasen, dus ideaal als feestkleedjes met dat vrolijke en frisse groen.
Het leuke aan de stof vind ik dat die super-veelzijdig is qua mogelijkheden om mee te gaan combineren. Blauw, Paars, Oranje, Geel, Roze, Kaki, … er zit zoveel kleur in, dat je altijd wel een stofje in voorraad hebt waarmee je het kan matchen.

These were ready just in time for Easter, so ideal as party dresses with that cheerful and fresh green.
The nice thing about the fabric is that it is super versatile in terms of possibilities to combine. Blue, Purple, Orange, Yellow, Pink, Khaki, … there is so much color in it that you always have a fabric in stock with which you can match it.

En omdat ik het heb gezegd hierboven, ook nog even de nieuwe blote-buik-crop-top die Laure had besteld. Ik gebruikte hiervoor het Be The Leader patroon van Ellie&Mac. Ik maakte maatje 7 jaar verlengd tot 8 jaar. Ik koos voor de crop top met lange flounce.
Laure is er super blij mee, ik ben persoonlijk geen grote fan. Naar mijn zin mag het gerust toch iets meer bedekken. Als ik deze nog een keer maak, zal ik deze dus met een cm of 4, 5 verlengen. Dan ziet het er niet uit alsof ze enkel maar een ‘flounce’ om haar schouders heen heeft én is toont hij wat minder huid én is haar navel nog steeds onbedekt, dus de jongedame ook tevreden. Maar voor spelen in de tuin of op het strand kan het natuurlijk best! Wellicht ziet hij ook ‘bloter’ doordat ze rank en slank is, met een lang bovenlijf (of misschien is het omdat ik er met mama-ogen naar kijk en ze er plots massa’s groter mee ziet, dat kan ook…)

And because I said it above, also the new bare belly crop top that Laure ordered. I used Ellie & Mac’s Be The Leader pattern for this. I made size 7 years, length 8 years. I chose the long flounce crop top.
Laure is very happy with it, personally I am not that big a fan. In my opinion, it cshould cover a little more. So if I make it again, I will extend it by 2″. Then it does not look like she has only a ‘flounce’ around her shoulders and it shows less skin and her bellybutton is still uncovered, so the young lady is also satisfied. But of course it is okay for playing in the garden or on the beach! Perhaps it seams ‘more naked’ because she is slender and slim, with a long torso (or maybe it is because I look at it with mommy eyes and she suddenly looks so big with it, that is also possible …)

Play Date Dress + Bolero

Ik heb een tijdje terug geblogd over de Play Date Dress die ik voor de jongste maakte voor oudejaar en nieuwjaarsdag. Maar ik liet jullie nog niet die van de oudste zien. Omdat ik deze keer een mouwloze versie maakte (een beperkte hack), hackte ik het patroon om er een passende bolero bij te maken. Hieronder laat ik even zien hoe ik het heb aangepakt, en geef ik nog enkele bijkomende tips.
Ik maakte hem ineens ook omkeerbaar.

A while back, I blogged about the Play Date Dress that I made for the youngest for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. But I haven’t shown you the one I made later on for my oldest yet. Because I made a sleeveless version this time (a limited hack), I hacked the pattern to make a fitting bolero. Below I show you how I did it, and I give some additional tips.
I made it reversible too.

Ik vertrok van de patroondelen van de Play Date Dress, omdat ik een korte cardigan wilden (bolero-stijl dus), zodat die mooie strik op de rug zichtbaar zou blijven.
Ik koos voor een fleurig en flodderig stofje, voor een extra feestelijke tint.
Onderaan deze post doe ik een poging om de links mee te geven naar de stoffen die ik gebruikte.

I started with the patterned parts of the bodice from the Play Date Dress, because I wanted a short cardigan (bolero-style), so that that beautiful bow would remain visible on the back.
I chose a soft and fun fabric for an extra festive hue.
At the bottom of this post I make an attempt to provide the links to the fabrics I used.

Ik tekende eerst het voorpand over. Aan de halslijn voegde ik iets meer dan 1 cm toe. Vanaf de halslijn tekende ik een gebogen lijn naar de zijnaad onderaan.

I first drew the front. I added half an inch to the neckline. From the neckline I drew a curved line to the side seam at the bottom.

Ik verlengde de mouwen. Ook daar vertrok ik gewoon van het patroondeel. Ik nam eerst met de lintmeter de maat (meten is weten…), van de schouder tot de pols. Zo wist ik precies hoelang de mouw moest gaan worden.

I lengthened the sleeves. There, too, I just started with the pattern part. I first took the measurements of my daughters arm length with the tape measure (measuring is knowing …), from the shoulder to the wrist. That way I knew exactly how long the sleeve should be.

Aan het achterpand deed ik geen aanpassingen. Wanneer ik deze bolero nogmaals maak, wat zeker zal gebeuren, dan zal ik hier wel nog een aanpassing doorvoeren. Nu hangt het immers nogal ‘wijd’ op de rug, terwijl ik het liever wat meer aansluitend zou zien.
Volgende keer (al doende leer je!) zou ik dus innemen aan de taille.

I did not make any adjustments to the back. When I make this bolero again, which will certainly happen, I will make a change here. Now, after all, it is rather ‘wide’ on the back, while I would rather see it more fitted.
So next time (you learn by doing!) I would take it in at the waist.

Ik maakte de bolero omkeerbaar, omdat hij dan wat meer warmte geeft, en omdat hij dan aan beide kanten kan worden gedragen en bij meerdere kledingstukken past natuurlijk. Voor een behoorlijke uitgebreide hack vond ik deze versie al best geslaagd, maar ik zal dus zeker nog wat ‘tweaken’.

I made the bolero reversible, because it gives a little more warmth, and because it can be worn on both sides and of course fits with several items of clothing. I thought this version was quite successful for a fairly extensive hack, but I will certainly ‘tweak’ a bit.

Oh ja, voor het kleedje zelf liet ik gewoon de mouwen weg, en werkte ik het lijfje aan de armsopening af met rekbare biais.

Oh by the way, for the dress itself I just left the sleeves off, and finished the bodice at the arm opening with stretchable bias.

Kleedje: de geruite stof kocht ik onlangs op een stoffenmarkt aan een kraampje waarvan ik de naam niet eens weet. Ik herinner me enkel dat ze geen webshop hadden, dus sowieso kon ik geen link meegeven…
De satijnband ligt al eeuwen in mijn voorraad. Hier was hij perfect voor een feestelijke afwerking voor de strik en de ruches onderaan het rokdeel. Maar ook daar dus geen link beschikbaar…
Het lijfje van dit kleedje is een zalmroze lycra, die heerlijk zacht draagt.

Bolero: Voor de bolero gebruikte ik een rekbare fantasietricot, maar ik vond niet meer terug waar precies…

Dress: I recently bought the plaid fabric at a fabric market at a stand from a shop whose name I don’t even know. I just remember that they didn’t have a webshop, so I couldn’t provide a link anyway …
The satin ribbon has been in my stock for centuries. Here it was perfect for a festive finish for the bow and the ruffles at the bottom of the skirt. But there is no link available there either …
The bodice of this dress is a salmon pink lycra that is wonderfully soft. Think I found it at stoffen.net, but not sure…

Bolero: I used a stretchy fantasy knit for the bolero, but I couldn’t find where I found it exactly …

So far for trying to tell you where I got my fabrics from…

Second attempt

Zoals gezegd hier boven vond ik dat de bolero nogal wijd was en gaapte op de rug, terwijl ik het liever wat aansluitend zag. Doordat ik de vorige omkeerbaar maakte, blijft deze ook eerder ‘hobbelig’, ook na een was- en strijkbeurt nog een beetje.
Ik deed dus nog enkele aanpassingen:
– ik nam het patroon nog wat in aan de zijnaden, zodat deze meer zou aansluiten in de taille. Ik gebruikte de rode stippellijn (zie foto hier onder).
– ik maakte uit dezelfde stof een bolero, deze keer niet gevoerd, noch omkeerbaar.
– om de randen af te werken, ging ik er eerst met de overlock overheen. Nadien plaatste ik biais in de halslijn, voor een nette afwerking. Bij de zoom sloeg ik gewoon de gelockte rand om, en stikte deze vast.

As mentioned above, I thought the bolero was rather wide and gaped on the back, while I preferred it a little more fitted. Because I made the previous one reversible, it also remains ‘bumpy’, even after washing and ironing.
So I made a few adjustments:
– I took the pattern in a little at the side seams, so that it would fit more in the waist. I used the red dotted line (see photo below).
– I made a bolero from the same material, this time neither lined nor reversible.
– to finish the raw edges, I first went over it with the overlock. Afterwards I placed bias in the neckline, for a neat finish. At the hem, I just turned the locked edge in and stitched it.

Zo bekwam ik onderstaand resultaat, waar ik helemaal blij mee ben!
En nu heb ik een gevoerde winterversie, en een luchtige zomerversie van deze bolero. Win-win, als je het mij vraagt, want intussen ook weer een hoop bijgeleerd!

This is how I obtained the result below, which I am very happy with!
And now I have a padded winter version, and an airy summer version of this bolero. Win-win, if you ask me, because a lot has been learned in the meantime!

South Shore Romper

Iedere naaister heeft ze: patronen die je hebt aangeschaft de dag dat ze gereleased werden en meteen op je to-sew-lijst komen te staan, maar daar dan héél lang blijven staan. Gewoonweg omdat je meestal maar een beperkte hoeveelheid naaitijd hebt, in combinatie met een teveel aan ideeën en bijgevolg een te lange to-sew-lijst…
De South Shore Romper was er bij mij zo eentje…
Toen het patroon uitkwam, wist ik meteen dat ik het wou uitproberen. Jumpsuits in de winkel lijken me op een of andere manier nooit te passen. Wellicht omdat ik een smalle taille heb, maar wel brede heupen. Enter zelf kleding maken, want die pas je gewoon helemaal aan aan je eigen lijf. En ik heb in al die tijd geen enkele dame in de groep gezien die er niet mee stond, met die South Shore Romper...

Every seamstress has them: patterns that you purchased the day they were released and immediately appear on your to-sew list, but then remain there for a very long time. Simply because you usually only have a limited amount of sewing time, in combination with too many ideas and therefore a too long to-sew list …
The South Shore Romper was one of those for me…
When the pattern came out, I immediately knew that I wanted to try it out. Jumpsuits in the store somehow never seem to fit me. Perhaps because I have a S waist, but M/L hips. Enter making your own clothing, because you simply adjust it completely to your own body. And I haven’t seen a single lady not looking good in it in all that time…

En toen werd het januari en organiseerde mijn schoonzus het Stikking Together naaiweekend. Wat vooraf een zee van naai-tijd leek, was ook zo weer voorbij, maar wat is het genieten om eens twee-en-een halve dag lang niets anders te doen dan dat wat je graag doet! En zo vond ik dus eindelijk de tijd om met dit patroon aan de slag te gaan.
Ik maakte de versie met lange pijpen en zonder mouwen in een kreukvrije scuba crêpe van Driessen Stoffen. Voor het eerst in mijn leven trok ik een jumpsuit aan en ging ik voor de spiegel staan en dacht ik: “Hé, het kan toch! Ik heb een jumpsuit aan en het is niet mis!” De reacties van de andere dames bevestigden dit, en dat maakte dit kledingstuk in één klap tot mijn top-stuk van het voorbije naaiweekend!

And then it became January and my sister-in-law organized the Stikking Together sewing weekend. What previously seemed like a sea of sewing time, was over before I knew it, but what a pleasure it is to be able to do what you like (and nothing but doing what you like) for two and a half days! And so I finally found the time to get started with this pattern.
I made the long, sleeveless jumpsuit version in a wrinkle-free scuba crepe from Driessen Stoffen. For the first time in my life I put on a jumpsuit and stood in front of the mirror and thought: “Hey, it is possible! I am wearing a jumpsuit and it is not wrong!” The reactions of the other ladies confirmed this, and that made this garment in one fell swoop my top piece of the past sewing weekend!

Ik veranderde helemaal niets aan het patroon. Het bovenlijfje is een S, de broek een M. Ik verlengde het lijfje, volgens de aanwijzingen in het patroon, met 2,5 cm. Zo valt het precies in de taille, waar het hoort te vallen.
Door de ingenaaide elastiek in de taille wordt deze mooi geaccentueerd. De wijde pijpen zorgen er dan weer voor dat mijn heupen niet te veel in het oog springen en brengen het geheel, naar mijn aanvoelen, in balans. O ja, er zitten zakken in! Ik zette deze per abuis wat te laag in, maar eigenlijk ben ik blij dat ik dit deed, want zo vallen ze net onder mijn billen, en zorgen ze dus niet voor extra stof op mijn ‘breedste punt’ 🙂

I did not change the pattern at all. The bodice is an S, the pants an M. I extended the bodice to adjust for side-waist, according to the instructions in the pattern, by 1 inch. This way it falls exactly at the waist, where it should fall.
This is beautifully accentuated by the sewn-in elastic at the waist. The wide legs ensure that my hips do not stand out too much and bring the whole, in my opinion, into balance. And… it has pockets! I accidentally put them a little too low, but actually I’m glad I did, because now they just fall under my buttocks, so they don’t provide extra fabric at my ‘widest point’ 🙂

Hij draagt zeer comfortabel, zit heerlijk en is qua lengte ook perfect. Hier komen er zeker nog meer van onder de machine vandaan! Ik ben niet zo aan capri-lengte, maar de kortere playsuit-versie zal ik deze zomer zeker uittesten.
En eind april is dit patroon ook een zeer grote kanshebber voor mijn kleding op de eerste communie van de jongste…

It is very comfortable and perfect in length. There will certainly be more! I’m not that keen on capri length, but I will definitely test the shorter playsuit version this summer.

Net zoals alle patronen van Ellie&Mac zit het ook in geen tijd in elkaar! De andere Stikking Together dames schrokken van de snelheid waarmee ik van knippen tot klaar ging. Met wat kletsen tussendoor deed ik over dat alles minder dan anderhalf uur!

Just like all of Ellie & Mac’s patterns, it can also be created in no time! The other Stikking Together ladies were flabbergasted at the speed with which I went from cut to finish. With some chatting in between, I did everything in less than an hour and a half!

School Cool Birthday Dress

2020 is intussen al even van start, dus hoog tijd voor een update hier!
Mijn eerste naaisels van 2020 kan ik nog niet laten zien, want die geef ik binnenkort cadeau (en dus hou ik ze graag nog heel even geheim, anders is het geen verrassing meer…).

2020 has started , so it’s time for an update on my sewing adventures! I cannot show my first sew of 2020, because I will soon give them as a gift (and so I would like to keep them secret for a little longer, otherwise it will no longer be a surprise …).

Maar de start van een nieuw jaar betekent ook steeds dat we een jarig elfje in huis hebben. Op 11 januari werd dat elfje 7 jaar. En bij een verjaardag, daar horen feestkleren bij!

But the start of a new year always means that we have a birthday girl in our house. On January 11, she turned 7. And when I say birthday, that includes party clothes!

Wanneer ik weinig tijd heb (heeft iemand er ooit te veel?), is het School Cool patroon van Ellie&Mac steevast mijn redder in nood. Ik maakte er intussen al heel wat, gewoon omdat het patroon zo eenvoudig is en heel snel gemaakt kan worden. Zelfs met het zomen van de cirkelrok inbegrepen, zit ik er van knippen tot afgewerkte jurk niet langer dan een uur aan.

When I don’t have a lot of time (does anyone ever have too many?), The School Cool pattern from Ellie & Mac is invariably my savior. In the meantime, I have already made a lot, simply because the pattern is so simple and can be made very quickly. Even with the hemming of the circle skirt included, it does not take me longer than an hour from cutting my fabrics to a finished dress.

Deze keer koos ik er voor het eerst voor om niet het volledige kleedje in één en dezelfde stof te knippen. Na de ‘Play Date Dress‘ vond ik het effect van een uni bovenlijfje met een rok met print wel fijn, en nu heb ik dus helemaal de smaak te pakken.
Beide stoffen zijn tricot en haalde ik op stoffen.net. Het stofje met Trolls-print is heerlijk kleurrijk, en voor onze 7-jarige nog lekker speels.
Aangezien het winter is, koos ik voor lange mouwen. Om het geheel een tikkeltje feestelijker te laten ogen, werkte ik het af met een elastische lusjesboord. Dat is ook het leuke aan dit patroon, want je kan het met wat tierlantijntjes makkelijk ‘pimpen’.

This time for the first time I chose not to cut the entire dress in one and the same fabric. After the ‘Play Date Dress‘ I found the effect of a plain bodice with a skirt with a print looking very nice, and now I have a taste for it.
Both fabrics are jersey and I got it on stoffen.net. The fabric with Trolls print is wonderfully colorful, and still playful for our 7-year-old.
Since it is winter, I opted for long sleeves. To make it look a bit more festive, I hemmed it with an elastic loophole band. That is also the nice thing about this pattern, because you can easily ‘pimp’ it with some frills.

Doordat je de cirkelrok in één deel knipt, op dubbele stofvouw, is er behalve het zomen eigenlijk geen werk aan. Ideaal dus voor snelle projectjes!
Nog een riempje erop als accessoire, en tadaah: klaar was de feestjurk!
